Permission error on Custom Citrix Administrators

For a while i kept adding the right permissions and i kept getting word back that the supporters kept getting access errors when doing the administrative tasks they should be able to.

I was sure it was a user-side error so i went to check it out and had to admit that it was not working as intended. The really funny thing was that i had a custom administrator made in the same exact way(i thought) and it worked fine.

What i learned was that with CPS 4.5 AMC it is not the same configuration if you add ALL permissions then deselect the ones the users dont need as it is if you REMOVE all and then add the ones they need.

So the solution for me ended up being to create the custom administrator groups i needed as custom administrators but with full permissions. Then Deselect the permissions they dont need. And this seemed to work perfectly and have done so at several customer sites.

I am not sure whether Citrix fixed this during one of the later hotfixes, but it is an easy workaround for administrators with this problem. .. easy workaround when you figure out the problem ;-)
