Hey folks,
Just a small headsup, it seems XenApp 5.0 is not supported on Windows 2008 R2 and i have not heard about any workarounds so far. From Citrix the official answer seems to be that “Server 2008 R2 will be supported in a future Citrix release.”

To be honest i find this extremely wierd.. it seems from the buzz that R2 is going to be much more commonly used than Windows Server 2008. I would think XenApp 5.0 should be run on the most stable and commonly used 2008 OS.. but guess we will have to wait

This forum has current status about the progress of XenApp compatibility. http://forums.citrix.com/thread.jspa?threadID=250807&tstart=0
It is because of the new Remote Desktop 7 in Server 2008 R2. I thought it was weird until I found this out.
Could one say that maybe Citrix knew about RDS 7 before the release of R2 and maybe we could have expected atleast a roadmap for the release of a supported version?
