So the future of XenDesktop is being shown at Citrix Synergy keynote in Barcelona, and i have had the chance to spend a few days with the first phase release which is the Project Excalibur Technology Preview.

My first experiences with the Excalibur technology preview has proven to me that the platform of FMA is really maturing and a benefit to the new model of delivering even Apps from what we know as XenApp.
One of the other cool features is the integration of technologies from main management console, and Delivery groups to stuff like Profile management and all configured in a way that makes sense to real use cases.
Remember it is a Technology Preview, there will be issues but the technology preview gives a great picture of what is to come on this platform, and how it will work. .. There will be issues.. but the TP does provide great insight into the future
